The Simpsons has found its new Dr. Julius Hibbert in veteran voice actor Kevin Michael Richardson. Since the start of the series in 1989, the role of Dr. Hibbert has been voiced by Harry Shearer. It seems that a new adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s novel The Wind in the Willows is heading for the silver screen. Variety is reporting that RG Entertainment is developing a new feature film based off Grahame’s popular 1908 children’s book. According to Variety, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took in a whopping $36.7 million on Friday, which increases its chances of going after the five-day record. The film now has a three-day cumulative gross of $125.9 million and the film is inching closer to The Dark Knight’s five-day record haul of $203.8 million. Some analysts predict the film’s five-day total will end up north of $190 million, while others think it could break The Dark Knight’s record....
Troika Pictures has picked up feature rights to John Steinbeck’s “The Acts of King Arthur and his Noble Knights”, and has set Jennifer Lee to adapt the screenplay. According to Variety, the book was published posthumously and is Steinbeck’s retelling of the Arthurian legend, based on the Winchester Manuscript text of Thomas Malory’s “Le Morte d’Arthur,” first published in 1485. Steinbeck interpreted and rewrote seven of the legends in his book....
