Next year marks the 30th Anniversary of the hit vampire horror comedy The Lost Boys, which spawned two more straight-to-video sequels. There was talk of a fourth movie and even a spinoff TV series supposedly centering on the Frog Brothers (Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander), but those never came to fruition. Today we have word that the franchise will be rebooted for the small screen by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas for The CW, Warner Bros....
The Mandalorian is one of the newest and arguably most successful TV series in the Star Wars franchise. Revolving around a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Din Djarin, The Mandalorian introduces a Force-sensitive character named Grogu, who appears to be the same species as Master Yoda. The Disney+ series follows Din and Grogu as they try to evade capture from the remnants of the Empire. With the third season hitting Disney+ on March 1 (per Esquire), Star Wars fans are brushing up on their lore trying to figure out what the season will deliver next....

It feels like we have been waiting decades for a live-action adaptation of The Sandman. And that’s because we have. Thankfully, the long-awaited project is finally happening courtesy of Netflix, and the EW Summer Preview has given us our latest look at actor Tom Sturridge as the title character, who also goes by Morpheus. Next Movie has been provided with the first DVD and Blu-ray details for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which will hit store shelves on December 4. There is no word on pricing details as of yet. We double-checked with the Summit Home Entertainment press site, which confirmed that the movie will be released in four different editions: a single-disc DVD, two-disc Special Edition DVD, a single-disc Blu-ray and two-disc Blu-ray/DVD combo pack....

When Frank Darabont stepped down last July as the showrunner of The Walking Dead, it raised several eyebrows, especially after such a successful first season. Marvel finally dropped the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer ahead of its release this summer, and with it comes plenty of new footage. Of course, we get to see a new look at the returns of Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman as the titular god and Jane “The Mighty Thor” Foster, respectively. Also included in the trailer is a sneak peek at Russell Crowe making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Zeus, though we can only see his hand followed by another shot from behind....
Cable TV is feeling The Pursuit of Happyness. In a story from Variety, they report that based on the final domestic box office gross of the hit The Pursuit of Happyness, “Turner’s TNT and TBS could end up paying upward of $30 million for the first network window of Happyness and two other Columbia titles.” TNT will kick off The Pursuit of Happyness run on cable TV “starting in April 2009 as part of a four-year deal....
We could have seen a recent box office dual between the two stars of the Toy Story series if not for a controversial recasting at the center of Lightyear. In the spinoff, Chris Evans voices a new incarnation of Buzz Lightyear, the space hero young Andy idolizes as a child in the Toy Story films. The story is presented as a movie that exists within the Toy Story universe that spawned the toy line that the action figure version of Buzz Lightyear is a part of....
Pixar has released a new photo from the upcoming short Toy Story: Hawaiian Vacation, which can be seen in theaters attached to prints of Cars 2 starting tomorrow, June 24. Hasbro has decided to jump on the 3D bandwagon by introducing their own line of Transformers Cine-Power 3D Masks, which will become available in conjunction with the July 1st release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. These new plastic Autobot Face Masks will come in the guise of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, complete with custom passive 3D lenses that are built into the front. The cine-Power 3D Masks will work at any RealD equipped movie theater, and they are also compatible with the Vizio Cinema 3D HDTVs and other passive 3D HDTVs....
Production is well underway on the upcoming Transformers 3, the third installment of the very successful and popular Michael Bay franchise based on the Hasbro action toy line featuring robots that morph into various vehicles and household appliances. Premiere France has posted new photos direct from the Los Angeles set featuring stars Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in action. New Eastside has also published a photo schematic and location information for where stuntmen will skydive from helicopters at a low altitude in one of the scenes from the film....

The CW Network’s new series Arrow has not been shy about bringing in a plethora of characters from the DC Comics universe this season. We have already seen Deadshot (Michael Rowe) and China White (Kelly Hu), with Deathstroke (Jeffrey C. Robinson) appearing in tomorrow night’s episode, “Damaged”. Today, we have word that the villainous Vertigo will be making an appearance later on as Arrow Season 1’s main bad guy. The Witcher season 3 will be Henry Cavill’s last as he steps down from his iconic role to work on other projects. The news is bittersweet because it comes only a week after Cavill fans found out he would be returning to his role as DC’s Superman. The hilarious vampire hijinks are set to continue for at least one more year on FX. The network has officially renewed What We Do in the Shadows for a third season. This comes well ahead of the season 2 finale, which signifies the confidence that the decision-makers have in the series. While this show tried at times to deal with “social issues,” on the whole it is an enjoyable fish out of water story in which Smith clashes with the Banks family who are putting him up....
On the last episode of The L Word: Generation Q, viewers may have been in for a surprise when Katherine Moennig and Jacqueline Toboni started dancing Magic Mike style. Moennig’s character, Shane, and Toboni’s character, Finley, are prepping for a second gay bar to open next to Dana’s. The two begin doing some old-fashioned demolition when Pony starts blasting into the space. Shane grabs a sledgehammer, and the two start demoing in sync....
