CBS has just released two new trailers for their upcoming reboot of The Twilight Zone. Jordan Peele, who just scored one of the biggest opening weekends ever for a horror movie at the box office with Us, can seemingly do no wrong at this point. Lucky for TV lovers, CBS managed to court him to head up this new take on the classic sci-fi series, not only as an executive producer, but also as host, filling in the very big shoes left behind by creator Rod Serling....

The Witcher producer Tomasz Bagiński has now responded to the sudden departure of series star Henry Cavill, comparing the role of Geralt of Rivia to James Bond. Taking to social media, Bagiński teased the quality of the upcoming third season before declaring that, just like with Batman and Bond, a new actor can bring something fresh and exciting. Cavill made the announcement that he would be leaving The Witcher over the weekend....

Oscar-nominated co-writer of The Worst Person in the World, screenwriter and director Eskil Vogt talked about his new drama-thriller Copenhagen Does Not Exist and the film’s story and human nature. The Danish film premiered at the Rotterdam International Film Festival and was nominated in the ‘Best Nordic Film’ category at the Göteborg Film Festival 2023, but the prize goes to Unruly, directed by Malou Reymann. The film tells the story of a young woman named Ida who disappears without a trace....

The BD disc was released last October by Paramount before it switched to HD DVD exclusively. We don’t have any pricing details or updated cover art for this new release, but we’ll update this story as soon as we get more information. Legendary Pictures announced today that it will develop and produce a new film based on history’s most celebrated baseball figure, Jackie Robinson. The movie will pay tribute to the legacy and impact Robinson made when he became the first African American Major League Baseball player. Legendary will collaborate with Robinson’s widow, Rachel Robinson, to ensure the authenticity of the famed player’s story. Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential / Mystic River) will write and direct, with Legendary’s Chairman and CEO, Thomas Tull, producing, and Legendary’s Chief Creative Officer, Jon Jashni, serving as executive producer....

Ever since Netflix canceled their Marvel shows, fans were curious when those characters might debut in the MCU. And when they did debut, would they be played by the same actors or would they be recast? While Marvel boss Kevin Feige had assured fans that Charlie Cox would be Daredevil going forward, hearing that is not the same as seeing him back on screen in the role. With each passing day, we’re closer to finding out who was killed by Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in The Walking Dead Season 6 finale cliffhanger. Today, we have word there may be more than one death in this highly-anticipated episode. It has already been confirmed multiple times that Negan’s victim will be revealed in the Season 7 premiere, airing Sunday, October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC, but executive producer Greg Nicotero teased in a recent interview there may be multiple deaths in the premiere episode....

In some amazing news, What We Do in the Shadows has been renewed for a fourth season ahead of its season 3 premiere next month. FX announced the early renewal during the Television Critics Association summer press tour and released the official trailer for the upcoming third season of the acclaimed mockumentary series. The first two episodes of What We Do in the Shadows season 3 will air on September 02 on FX and will be available to stream the next day on FX on Hulu....

The haunting first trailer for Sony Pictures’ adaptation of the bestselling novel, Where the Crawdads Sing, teases a creepy murder mystery led by rising star Daisy Edgar-Jones. Released by the official Sony Picture Entertainment YouTube channel, the footage not only gives us a good idea of the plot and performances that are sure to make Where the Crawdads Sing a must-see for thriller fans, but it also teases Taylor Swift’s new song, “Carolina,” which features prominently in the trailer....

Don’t Worry Darling is directed and produced by Olivia Wilde (Booksmart) and written by Katie Silberman, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke. Silberman previously penned Set It Up and Booksmart, while Carey and Shane Van Dyke are known for their work on movies such as Chernobyl Diaries. The screenplay for Wilde’s new project was on the 2019 Black List as one of the year’s “most-liked” yet unproduced scripts. Darren Aronofsky’s long-time collaborator, Matthew Libatique (Black Swan, Pi), serves as cinematographer, and the film’s original score was composed by John Powell (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Happy Feet)....

Actor Stephen Amell has been cast in The CW’s upcoming Green Arrow pilot, simply titled Arrow. We first reported on this project a few weeks ago, when the network ordered the pilot along with The Carrie Diaries and Beauty and the Beast. The project is said to be a modern-day retelling of the DC Comics superhero, The Green Arrow, aka Oliver McQueen (Stephen Amell), a billionaire playboy who dons a mask and fights crime at night with his bow and arrow, along with an assortment of other high-tech devices....

You can relive a sci-fi classic on DVD and Blu-ray before the remake hits theaters. The Day the Earth Stood Still is being re-released in a two-disc special edition on December 2. This new release comes right on the heels of the new The Day the Earth Stood Still remake, which hits theaters on December 12.
