You can relive a sci-fi classic on DVD and Blu-ray before the remake hits theaters. The Day the Earth Stood Still is being re-released in a two-disc special edition on December 2. This new release comes right on the heels of the new The Day the Earth Stood Still remake, which hits theaters on December 12. This new two-disc set will be priced at $19.99 SRP and the Blu-ray will be priced at $34.99 SRP. The original 1951 film stars Patricial Neal and Michael Rennie.
