Hannah Waddingham, best known for her role in Ted Lasso, has joined the cast of Universal’s The Fall Guy. Per The Hollywood Reporter, the Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Supporting Actress will yet again take up another role alongside Ryan Gosling (The Gray Man).

The talented Waddingham just had an appearance in the British comedy-drama Sex Education on Netflix. Sex Education chronicles the lives of the students, faculty, and parents of the fictional Moordale Secondary School as they struggle with various personal issues. She also joined the cast of the new animated version of Garfield and had an appearance in Hocus Pocus 2 for Disney Plus.

The Fall Guy is based on the Lee Majors TV series from the 1980s, but it has been reported that the upcoming adaptation will make a few changes. It will completely do away with the bounty-hunting element, making Ryan Gosling’s character solely a stuntman. Its plot will revolve around a past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself working again on a movie with the star (Taylor-Johnson), who he previously worked with but was replaced by. However, the movie’s star disappears.

The action-packed movie will be directed by David Leitch, who made his directing debut as a co-director in the 2014 action movie John Wick. Leitch has also recently directed Bullet Train for Sony Pictures.
