“TheMandalorian and Grogu’s journey continues,” reads the caption alongside the newly released poster, and no doubt fans will love seeing them back together again. After departing at the end of the second season of The Mandalorian, Mando and Grogu are reunited during the events of another Disney+ series, The Book of Boba Fett, with the duo now all set to make their way to Mandalore, the home planet of the Mandalorian people.
“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue,” reads the synopsis for The Mandalorian Season 3. “Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”
The Mandalorian Season 3 once again finds The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal taking the lead as Din Djarin, aka The Mandalorian, alongside Grogu, formerly known as Baby Yoda. The third season will see the return of several allies and enemies, including Star Wars: The Clone Wars favorite Bo-Katan Kryze, played once again by Katee Sackhoff, alongside Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Carl Weathers as Greef Karga, and Emily Swallow as “The Armorer.”
The third outing will also add a few big names to the roster, such as Back to the Future star and acting icon Christopher Lloyd as well as The Goldbergs and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Tim Meadows.

The Mandalorian Becomes a Reluctant Leader in Season 3
Disney+
As teased by the poster, The Mandalorian Season 3 will find the main character, who loves nothing more than being a lone wolf, stepping reluctantly into a leadership role thanks to possessing the coveted Darksaber. “If he is stepping into a leadership position, he’s reluctant to do so,” Pedro Pascal said previously of Mando’s development in the third season. “I don’t think that there’s anything more interesting than a character being forced into discovering what they’re capable of, and who they are. That part has been really, really fun. Also, from my point of view, there’s so many searchable ways to find the tonality of that. I just tried to achieve the subtleties of that kind of character development.”
Produced by Lucasfilm, Fairview Entertainment, and Golem Creations, with Jon Favreau once again serving as showrunner, The Mandalorian Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on March 1, 2023, on the streaming service Disney+. A fourth season of The Mandalorian is now in development.
