One of America’s most popular game shows is hitting the road. In honor of this year’s 50th anniversary of The Price Is Right, CBS has announced a nationwide tour that will consist of 50 different stops across the United States. Fans who attend will be given the opportunity to play games and score prizes with the chance to win a grand prize of $50,000. It has been dubbed The Price Is Right: Come on Down Tour, referring to the popular catchphrase popularized by the TV show.
“For the past 50 years, The Price Is Right has been part of the fabric of America, uplifting viewers, and contestants alike with positivity, excitement, and a daily escape,” CBS states in a press release. “The Price Is Right: Come on Down Tour will bring its mobile game show on wheels to iconic spots nationwide, connecting with fans and giving them a chance to play Plinko, spin The Price Is Right wheel, and compete in a Showcase Showdown, as well as enjoy fun photo ops and experience the show’s magic firsthand. Fans will also be able to win prizes supporting beloved local business partners whose history is deeply tied to 1972, the year The Price Is Right premiered.”

The Tour Kicks Off in Los Angeles with Drew Carey

The Price Is Right: Come on Down Tour will launch on Friday, March 25, at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, California. This will include themed lighting of Pacific Park’s famous Ferris wheel at dusk to celebrate. Carey’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, will also be one of the tour’s many stops. Traveling in a 70s-style bus, the tour will also visit various American landmarks such as the Route 66 sign, Gateway Arch, and the World’s Largest Basket.
