The Rings of Power Features a Stellar Cast
The Rings of Power will finally bring Tolkien’s Second Age to life in a live-action adaptation. The show needed an ensemble cast, which features familiar characters and new ones, as they try to stop an evil from spreading across Middle-earth and beyond. Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldy, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophie Nomvete, and Lloyd Own will appear throughout the first season of the series.
JD Payne and Patrick McKay serve as showrunners, writers, and will executive produce the series, leading the charge back into Middle-earth. Wayne Yip (Doctor Who, The Wheel of Time), J.A. Bayona (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom), and Charlotte Brändström (The Witcher) will helm episodes of the upcoming series. So look out for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power to arrive on Sept 1 (or 2nd), depending on where you view the highly anticipated series.
