When it comes to The Terminal List’s Rotten Tomatoes scores, there could not be a greater gulf between the current 39% approval rate from 56 critics and the 94% audience score that is the accumulation of over 3500 users. Taking into account only the 19 critic ratings from the site’s top critics make the dismal score even worse, dragging it down to just 26%, with the consensus being that the series is chaotic, nonsensical and “a fantasy of corruption and righteous violence.” However, just a quick glance at the many audience reviews reveals a stark contrast with phrases like “brilliantly written,” “twisting and turning action” and “Pratt is amazing” being frequently used.

Carr recently told Fox News that while the series has no political agenda, and is neither woke nor anti-woke, there are many critics who are against the series because it simply doesn’t “promote” the agendas they want to push. He said:
“We don’t mention right, left, conservative, liberal, none of those things are even mentioned. The Daily Beast, in particular, their review was quite mean. But they see an American flag and they get upset. Or they see someone who is competent with weapons and has a certain mindset and holds those in power accountable for their actions and they just kind of lose it a little bit. We didn’t make it for critics. What’s important to me and to Chris Pratt was that we made something that would speak to those members of the military who went down range over the last 20 years so they could sit down and say, ‘These guys put in the work and made a show that speaks to me.’”
