Exciting news has just come out of South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Austin, Texas. The Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman revealed that season 3 will be premiering on Netflix on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Additionally, a pair of first look images were also unveiled along with a new teaser, and you can watch the video below.

The Umbrella Academy Cast Is Excited for Season 3, Just Like the Fans

All of the key players are returning for the show’s third season this summer. The series stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Justin H. Min, Colm Feore, Ritu Arya, Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, and Javon ‘Wanna’ Walton. The cast has also teased exciting things to come in season 3.

“I hope this summer because I want to see this season so badly,” Raver-Lampman said of when fans can see the new season, per Collider. “We’ve started doing ADR and it’s a massive season. There’s just a lot of work in post that has to be done, but the little snippets that I’ve seen so far when I’ve been working on ADR in the studio, it looks incredible and it looks so exciting, and it just has a completely different energy. So, for everybody’s sake, including my own, I really do hope it comes out this summer. I’m so ready to see it.”
The Umbrella Academy was created for television by Steve Blackman. It is executive produced by Blackman, Jeff F. King, Keith Goldberg, Mike Richardson, and Jeremy Webb. Gerard Way and Gabrial Ba serve as co-executive producers with Steve Wakefield producing.
