Whether it be her fighting skills and her trusty sword or her compassion and strength as both a mother and a leader, her presence keeps the heart of this show going. 9 Reunion With Rick And Carl
AMC
Finding the moments that make these characters the most human are some of the best. Of course, we love to see them kick ass and take down a herd of zombies. However, it is sometimes the quiet moments that are the loudest. After the prison is overrun, everyone is separated and alone. Rick has to deal with healing from a serious beating as well as the belief that Judith is dead. Carl is left to fend for himself and protect his dad. Michonne is forced to face the reality that she is once again alone. However, just as she is about to lose hope completely, she comes across Rick and Carl in a home. The relief that washes over her face when she sees them inside had audiences crying with joy.

8 Debut: Saving Andrea
Introducing new characters into a show like The Walking Dead is hard. Audiences already know who to trust and who they enjoy watching, and whenever someone new comes into the picture, it may take a while for them to become a fan. However, when the show gave audiences an update on what happened with Andrea and how she and Michonne have become like family, it was easy to see her as the hero she is.
7 Michonne and Rick at the Carnival
The dream team. Lovers till the end. Rick and Michonne are a force to be reckoned with. In an attempt to gather enough ammo to take on Negan and the Saviors in The Walking Dead season 7, Rick and Michonne find some overrun carnival grounds with a gold mine for exactly what they need. However, much like anything in the show, their plan does not go smoothly, and Michonne sees Rick getting completely surrounded by walkers when he followed a deer. She abandons her post until she reaches him, alive and still fighting. They both go at the herd together in a great sequence of rolling heads and blood.
6 Signing The Charter
Character development is essential in a long-running show like The Walking Dead. Michonne has experienced so much loss throughout this show. From her son to Andrea, Carl, and Rick, Michonne has been through hell and back to come back stronger each time. After losing Rick, Michonne isolated Alexandria from the rest of the communities for years as her way of protecting them. However, when a new foe appears, Michonne finds the real power in community, unity, and their strength in numbers. She allows Gabriel to sign the charter on behalf of Alexandria with the other communities, and it is a turning point for all of them.
5 Michonne Kills the Governor
Revenge is sweet. Michonne is ruthless when it comes to protecting the ones she loves. When the Governor rages war against Rick and the prison, Michonne saves Rick from dying and has the final blow in killing the governor. This is a pinnacle moment for Michonne because she had already lost so much because of him, and it was very fitting to have her be the one to end it.
4 Keeping the Peace At Alexandria
For the entire group, it is shocking to see a community as put together, clean, protected, and safe as Alexandria. However, Michonne seems to be one of the few people to see the potential for a future at the place. Rick goes off the rails with his need to “harden up” the residents to help them survive. He starts screaming, blood covering his face, and waving his gun around in the middle of the community. Well, Michonne puts a stop to all of it. She knocks him out in order to stop him from ruining any chance they have finding a home there.
3 The Prison Needs Baby Formula
Michonne is a Walking Dead character you can always count on. When she ran away from Woodbury, and Glenn and Maggie are taken prisoner, she decides to bring the baby formula to the prison herself. This happens to mark the beginning of what will be a bond for life between Michonne and the rest of the show’s main group. As fans of the show, it is difficult for us not to remember the image of Michonne and her “pets” outside the prison gates with a basket of baby formula in hand.
2 Michonne vs The Governor
The Governor is one of the scariest and most unhinged villains in The Walking Dead. For a guy who keeps his dead walker daughter caged and chained up in a back room, Michonne was completely right in not trusting the guy. Michonne is one of the best judges of character in the show and in the world that they live in, that is one valuable asset. She knew right away that The Governor was bad news and she herself went in to murder him. Although she did not manage to kill him, the one-on-one match left the Governor with one less eye and one less zombie daughter.
1 Taking on the Child Army
If Michonne is anything, she is strong. After Rick was gone, Michonne is pregnant and ready to build the community back up while also taking care of Judith. Judith is taken by Michonne’s old friend and when she goes with Daryl to recover her, they come across a ruthless bunch of child killers, making defeating them more complicated than the typical enemy. When Judith’s life is threatened, a pregnant Michonne slaughter the entire group of kids. Killing this many children takes a toll on her, but is a testament to her strength and dedication to do whatever it takes to save the ones she loves.
