The Walking Dead is getting ready to shamble off the AMC coil one final time in two weeks, and it looks like it will be coming to an end with an extended finale. After 12 years,11 seasons, and 177 episodes of gore, drama, thrills and conflicts, it is not surprising that AMC wants to make sure the series departs with a bang. The line-up of AMC’s schedule around the final two episodes of the season this Sunday and on November 20th have revealed plenty of treats and a confirmation that the finale will run for 90 minutes with ads as opposed to the usual 60 minutes.
The Walking Dead may not have retained the high viewer numbers that ushered in the premiere season back in 2010, but it still has a loyal fan base who have stuck with the show through thick and thin, and they will all be there to see how the flagship show concludes. The Sunday night line-ups for the final two episodes are as follows:

How Will The Walking Dead Set Up Its Many Spin-Offs?
AMC
Of course, the end of The Walking Dead is not actually the end of The Walking Dead, as next year will see the arrival of several new spin-offs that will carry on the stories of many popular characters. This includes Dead City, which will follow Negan and Maggie in New York; Daryl Dixon, which sees the crossbow-wielding biker taking off to Europe; and Rick & Michonne, which will finally see the return of Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. The question is how the main show will set these new series up.
Knowing about the upcoming spin-offs has taken away some of the jeopardy from the series finale, as it is clear that there will be no major deaths coming. Naturally, not everyone is safe from the mighty zombie horde that will feature in the finale, and there could be some tough goodbyes still to be said, but with so many Walking Dead spin-offs coming next year, it will almost be like the series hasn’t ended at all.
The Walking Dead ends on November 20 on AMC and internationally on Disney+.
