Marvel Studios lineup for their Thunderbolts team was finally revealed at D23 Expo, and along with expected names like Yelena Belova and U.S. Agent, one of the more surprising additions to the newest MCU team was the return of Ghost, played by Hannah John-Kamen. Making her last appearance in Ant-Man and the Wasp, Ghost was the antagonist of the movie but was not an inherently bad character, and that puts her in the same frame as the rest of the Thunderbolts team, who are mostly superheroes with slightly dubious pasts. While discussing Ghost’s return, John-Kamen teased how her anti-social alter-ego will not connect well with her new teammates. She said:

The Thunderbolts movie was one of the more surprising additions to Marvel Studios’ line-up of Multiverse Saga movies when it was officially announced during San Diego Comic-Con, and although it is not set to premiere until 2025, there have been plenty of teases for the coming team already. Marvel has recently been criticized for constantly using its post-credits scenes to introduce new characters and lay teases for long-off movies. That is something that has already set up a number of the Thunderbolts and will continue to provide future set-ups for movies that are still a few years away.
“Well, she doesn’t like to be touched,” John-Kamen said. “Um, so that’s going to be interesting. She’s quite social, well, she’s not social. She was, she grew up in the van. So she’s never actually had human contact with anyone. So this is gonna be interesting for Ghost to connect.”
Kevin Feige Has Revealed That the Road to Secret Wars Has Begun

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has certainly lived up to its name, as what Kevin Feige and his team have achieved over the last 14 years is a marvel. With dozens of interconnected movies and TV shows already released, and that number set to double over the next three years, it is not a surprise that Marvel is not looking to deviate from their winning formula too much. Feige recently told ComicBook.com that everything is currently leading towards the culmination of the Multiverse Saga, and that will include a number of teases, as well as some important introductions, and of course, a little frivolous fun. He said:
“The truth is, all of the tags are never just about the future. There are tags that are eating shwarma, Captain America saying you know you gotta learn patience, sometimes, you know, you wait for something that’s not worth it. So they are always fun for us,” Feige told us. “We don’t want everything to feel the same. So some of the tags will connect and some of them won’t. Some of the films and shows will connect; some of them won’t. I think it’s just as important that we can have standalone introductory stories like Ms. Marvel, like Moon Knight, in addition to things that interconnect and build towards the larger story. A lot of what we’ve been doing has been building to this larger story, obviously with The Kang Dynasty and the Multiverse Saga, and now I think people will, I hope, come along for the ride. Both where it’s you’re on the express train to the finale, also when it’s fun, as many of our Phase 1, 2 and 3 films were.”
