It might just be a matter of time before Peter Parker and Matt Murdock are sharing the screen again. By now, most every Marvel fan is aware that Charlie Cox is back as Murdock in the MCU, having reprised his Daredevil role in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home. Seeing the character mingling with Tom Holland’s Peter has left some fans hoping that this won’t be the last time the two team up.

Holland himself is among those hoping to see a Spider-Man, Daredevil crossover. The actor recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about his experience working with Cox on No Way Home, and as Holland is a Daredevil fan, it was a marvelous occasion for him.

As Holland explains to THR, he’s also hopeful that Murdock and Parker will be back on the same screen once again before we know it.

“Working with Charlie was incredibly exciting. I was a big fan of the Daredevil series, and I think he’s a fantastic actor. He’s done a wonderful job with that character, and albeit it was a small cameo, it obviously teased the future of what could be. It was a real actors’ piece, that scene. We blocked the scene, which was essentially us just sitting there, and we read the lines. It was great.”

“It felt like an actors’ workshop while working with people I really look up to, and Charlie was a lot of fun. It was really cool to see him snap back into a character that I am really a fan of and that he has a lot of love for, obviously. So it was pretty awesome, and I hope that one day we find a way for Spider-Man and Daredevil to team up again.”

We’ll Probably See Matt Murdock Again Soon Enough, But When?

     Netflix, Marvel

Charlie Cox appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home is likely the first we’ll see of Daredevil in the MCU, as Marvel likely wouldn’t bring back the character for a quick cameo if there weren’t further plans for him. His nemesis Wilson Fisk has also been seen in Hawkeye with Vincent D’Onofrio reprising the role. D’Onofrio has also said he would like to see Kingpin take on Daredevil again at some point in the future as well.

The links between these characters and the Daredevil series aren’t entirely clear, given that Fisk seems to have undergone some changes compared to the last time we saw him. Even so, D’Onofrio insists that he sees the character as the “same guy” from the Netflix show. Could this mean that a fourth season of Daredevil could finally happen, but on Disney+? There’s no guarantee that a Daredevil-centric series will happen, but the odds are high that we’ll see both Cox and D’Onofrio back in their roles. It just remains to be seen when that will happen.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is still playing in some movie theaters. You can also catch D’Onofrio in Hawkeye on Disney+. The fan art in the image above comes to us from @rahalarts on Instagram.
