Silco and Singed created the Shimmer for Deckard. Marcus informs Silco of Jayce’s election to the council when he visits him. Marcus forewarns that Jayce will learn the truth about Silco’s ambitions because he knows Jayce is on the council. Now, understanding the necessary compromise Vander made in order to protect his adopted children; In this scene, Silco soliloquizes at the statue he erected for his brother Vander. According to Silco, being willing to do anything is necessary for the liberation of Zaun. He was ruthless and did anything to get to this moment without remorse. But when push came to shove, he couldn’t, let sacrifice Jinx. It is here Silco makes a statement that showed he truly cared for something more than his political goals.

After discovering Jayce’s project, the ambitious and goal-driven Viktor teams up with him. And despite having a grave illness, he kept working. The consequences brought about by such accomplishment can distort one’s need to act moral. When attempting to continue making a difference, fame and being elevated can create problems that could lead to a partnership or friendship dissolution. Viktor’s statement to Jayce nudges the audience to keep in mind their core intentions, while pursuing their dreams, and to resist letting extravagance dominate their decisions.
