The Mane Five is back! Netflix has dropped the trailer for Chapter 2 of My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. The trailer and synopsis for the series can be viewed below; just be sure to watch all the way to the end for a big cameo reveal!
The trailer gives a few hints at what will be expected of the upcoming series, which brings a lot of new changes to the franchise. Generation Five of My Little Pony started out with the Netflix original film My Little Pony: A New Generation in 2021. The story takes place far in the future, long after the events of the powerhouse that was My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Pegasus, Unicorn, and Earth Ponies are now separated and untrusting of each other. But a young earth pony named Sunny (Vanessa Hudgens) thinks that changes must be made. When a plucky unicorn named Izzy (Kimiko Glenn) wanders into her town, the two set off on an adventure to bring magic back to Equestria! Along the way, they form the Mane Five by joining up with the earth pony sheriff Hitch (James Marsden) and the sister Pegasus princesses Pipp (Sofia Carson) and Zipp (Liza Koshy).

My Little Pony: A New Generation was followed up with 2022’s My Little Pony: Make Your Mark. The special set the stage for the new series. Not everyone is happy with Unicorns using magic and Pegasus ponies flying overhead. Not to mention Sunny having a hard time controlling her new Alicorn powers, Zipp feeling pressure from her mom and Hitch finding a mysterious egg all alone. The special ends with an all-new magic being unlocked specifically for Earth ponies, plant magic from their hooves! But a mysterious figure watches from afar, and it looks like she’s getting ready to make a move of her own!

My Little Pony: Make Your Mark Chapter 2
Make Your Mark Chapter 2 will pick up right where the special left off. Earth ponies will be learning how to control their new magic, Hitch will be learning the ins and outs of raising a baby dragon, and Sunny is still playing the mediator between all three groups of ponies. Meanwhile, that mysterious new villain (along with her sidekick Misty) will be doing some spying of their own. But at the very end, we see a very familiar face. That’s right, it’s Twilight Sparkle!
Twilight shows up in what appears to be a hologram that is powered by the crystal of harmony, the ancient relic that is the source of all Equestria magic. It seems like she’ll be the guiding force behind Sunny and her friends as they try to bring harmony back into the world. This will be Twilight’s first cameo in the series, after appearing in the prologue for A New Generation. This is especially exciting news for fans that miss the ponies from Friendship is Magic; maybe there will be more cameos to come! Friendship is Magic’s fan favorite villain-turned-friend, Discord, makes a major appearance in the ongoing My Little Pony comics.
