In the latest episode of the Disney+ streaming series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, “Man, Green, and Straight Poured Into These Jeans,” viewers were treated to some in-universe knock-off merchandise featuring “The Avongers.” These similar (but legally distinct) versions of the biggest superhero name in the game were crafted by artist Truck Torrence, also known as 100% Soft.
In a tweet sent on September 15th, 2022, the day the episode aired, Torrence confirmed his involvement: “It’s true. I am Nikki and Pug’s drip broker. Always happy to dress the amazing Ginger Gonzaga and Josh Segarra.”
In a subsequent Tweet sent on September 17th, 2022, Torrence revealed the names of the characters who make up The Avongers roster: “Thur, Hawkguy, Captain Fifty States, Holk, Iron Friend, and Black Scorpion.”

While the characters who appeared on The Avongers shirt may have been unfamiliar, the Kawaii-influenced art style of Torrence surely is not… especially to those who take to social media shortly after a new episode of a Marvel Cinematic Universe series has aired, or a new MCU movie has been released. This is because Torrence is behind the adorable character emojis that appear after certain hashtags after a new episode of an MCU show streams on Disney+.

In some cases, the emojis are updated over the course of the season to reflect the various stages of a character’s arc. This was particularly evident during WandaVision, when the emojis paired with #Wanda, #AgnesTheNeighbor, #TheVision, and #WandaVision would be regularly updated to reflect the passing of the decades in the Scarlet Witch’s sitcom version of Westview.
This isn’t the only on-screen cameo Torrence’s work has enjoyed during the first season of She-Hulk, however. In addition to his work appearing as Twitter emoji, Torrence’s distinctive art style also lends itself to enamel pins and “vinyl desktop buddies.”
One of these vinyl desktop buddies can be seen on Nikki’s desk in the GLK&H offices. This buddy depicts one of Torrence’s original and distinctive characters: a smiling, sentient dumpster fire. Dumpster Fire toys like this one were originally sold by Torrence during San Diego Comic Con 2019. In that instance, the Dumpster Fires were a limited edition that were signed and numbered by Torrence. Given the fact that Nikki implicitly understands when Pug asks her to join him in queuing up for a limited edition sneaker drop, maybe the character has more experience tracking down collectibles than viewers might at first suspect.
