Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio has teased the return of Marvel supervillain Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin. The actor took to social media to share an image of a metal flask with the word “FISK” emblazoned across it. While it doesn’t show the character himself, the very fact that D’Onofrio will be back as The Kingpin is surely enough to have fans cheering and squealing with gleeful excitement.
The last audiences saw of Kingpin was in the Disney+ series Hawkeye, with the crime boss’ final moments showing him face-down a bullet fired from his niece, Echo. Of course, even a bullet from a trained assassin is unlikely to be enough to stop The Kingpin, with the character due to appear in both the upcoming Echo series and the now confirmed Daredevil revival, Daredevil: Born Again.

Vincent D’Onofrio himself has since responded to the Daredevil-and-Kingpin comeback, sharing the famous quote “When I was a boy…” to social media before sharing the logo for the Daredevil: Born Again series alongside the caption, “Yes, Mr Murdoch.”
The actor was also recently spotted looking more like The Kingpin than ever in set photos from the filming of the upcoming Disney+ series, Echo, which will follow Hawkeye star Alaqua Cox, who reprises the role of Maya Lopez AKA Echo, a deaf vigilante who possesses the ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements. Marion Dayre will serve as head writer on Echo, with the series set to star the likes of Zahn McClarnon as Maya’s father with Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, and Graham Greene cast in undisclosed starring roles. As well as Vincent D’Onofrio, Echo will also see the return of Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil, with the vigilante expected to join forces with Maya Lopez.
Daredevil Will Return in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law
Marvel Studios
Daredevil remains one of the most beloved projects within the MCU, with fans quickly calling for the characters and cast to return following the show’s cancelation on Netflix back in 2018. The series, along with the rest of The Defenders, including The Punisher and Jessica Jones, has now moved over to Disney+, with rumors persisting that they will all be brought back into the fray.
One such rumor that has turned out to be absolutely true is Charlie Cox reprising the role of Daredevil. Cox has so far reprised the role of Matt Murdock in the big screen Marvel event Spider-Man: No Way Home, with the actor due to suit up once again as The Man Without Fear in the ongoing Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. The exact details of his role in the series is largely unknown, but one thing that has been revealed is that Daredevil will sport his classic red-and-yellow costume.
With both Daredevil and The Kingpin now fully-fledged members of the MCU, the two characters are due to face off all over again in Daredevil: Born Again. While plot details are being kept under wraps, the series is expected to adapt (at least in part) the iconic comic arc by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli.
Daredevil: Born Again will consist of eighteen episodes and premiere in Spring 2024.
