Universal Pictures will soon release the home media version of the hit holiday action movie Violent Night. Starring David Harbour (Thunderbolts) as an action hero version of St. Nick, the film was a hit at the box office when it was released in December. Now, fans can prepare to own the physical copy of the movie when it hits Blu-ray and DVD on Jan. 24, 2023. This follows the Digital release of the film, which will be made available on Jan. 20.

Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow franchise) directed the movie. In addition to Harbour, it stars John Leguizamo (John Wick), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise).

The official description of Violent Night reads:

When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound taking everyone inside hostage, they are not prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus. David Harbour (Stranger Things) stars as St. Nick in the “wildly entertaining” holiday romp, delivering some serious season’s beatings to save the family and the spirit of Christmas.
