Santa Claus is hungry for action in the latest poster for the upcoming festive action flick Violent Night. Released courtesy of Universal Pictures and Dolby, this latest poster offers another look at David Harbour as a brutal version of Santa Claus, who is called into action when a family is kidnapped on Christmas eve. No doubt he will do to the kidnappers what he is doing to the poor gingerbread man. Check out the new Violent Night poster below.

Violent Night promises to be a coal-dark holiday thriller as it finds Harbour’s Santa reaching into his sack and bringing out the big guns. In Violent Night, a team of elite mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage. But the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus (Harbour) is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.

From the creators of John Wick, Violent Night is directed by Tommy Wirkola (The Trip, Dead Snow) from an original screenplay written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller. Violent Night stars John Leguizamo (Encanto, John Wick: Chapter 2), Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation, Vacation), Alex Hassell (The Tragedy of Macbeth), Alexis Louder (Copshop), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), Cam Gigandet (Twilight, Without Remorse), and André Eriksen (Vikings) alongside David Harbour as Santa Claus.
David Harbour Has Several Major Releases on the Horizon

As well as giving audiences the sort of Santa they have always wanted to see, David Harbour has several other major releases on the horizon. The actor, who has become a sought-after star thanks to his role as Sheriff Jim Hopper in the hugely popular Netflix series Stranger Things, will first train a teenager with a penchant for racing in the upcoming adaption of the video game Gran Turismo. Directed by Neill Blomkamp and due for release on August 11, 2023, Gran Turismo is based on a true story, and follows a teenage Gran Turismo player who applies their skills to competitions the world over on the road to becoming a real race car driver.
Harbour will also return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reprise the role of Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian in Thunderbolts. Joined by Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, and Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster, Thunderbolts is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2024 as part of Phase 5.
Violent Night is scheduled to be released in the United States on December 2, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
