Marvel Studios San Diego Comic-Con presentation announced the official name of WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which will see the return of Kathryn Hahn’s villain Agatha Harkness. Now that the series is almost set to start filming, Marvel has decided on the series working title, which draws on a classic villain from literature and cinema – The Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz.
Many movie and TV projects use an alternative title for filming, mostly to prevent too much attention from being drawn to the area while the shoot is ongoing. Thanks to a new report by The Cosmic Circus, it looks like Kathryn Hahn’s MCU is going to be filming under the title of My Pretty.

Of course, Marvel Studios regularly use names that have some hidden meaning for their working titles, but when it comes to the one used for Coven of Chaos, it is clear that the inspiration lies in another iconic witch. In The Wizard of Oz, the Wicked Witch of the West utters the iconic line, “I’ll get you my pretty and your little dog too.” The well-known line fits perfectly with the style of Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha in WandaVision, who acted as her own Wicked Witch of Westview in the series, and proved to be so popular her own spin-off series was always inevitable.
Agatha: Coven Of Chaos Will Come To Disney+ Winter 2023
Disney Platform Distribution
After being initially announced in 2021 as Agatha: House of Harkness, the series’ new title was revealed during the Marvel Studios panel at SDCC, when it was revealed as part of Phase 5’s lineup of shows and movies. However, there is currently very little known about the show itself, including when it will be set and how it will expand on the character.
Of course, Agatha’s backstory was briefly explored in WandaVision’s finale, which left the witch in a state where she could not do much harm to anyone, and it has been suggested that the series could expand on this rather than being set in the current day MCU. Whatever the truth turns out to be, Hahn made a huge impact on her MCU debut, and although many other big titles are getting all the attention from fans at the moment, when Coven of Chaos arrives toward the end of Phase 5, fans will likely be going crazy for Hahn once again.
There are plenty of questions to be asked about the series, not least whether Elizabeth Olsen could make an appearance as Scarlet Witch, but after her central villain role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which appeared to lead to her demise – although no-one is buying that – it is likely that Coven of Chaos will allow Hahn to keep the limelight all to herself. Where her story fits into the overarching Multiverse Saga is also something that we will have to wait to find out, but regardless of its place in the great Marvel narrative, there is no doubt that Hahn will bring a lot more fun to Agatha’s own story.
