The highly anticipated spin-off series to the 2021 MCU hit WandaVision, titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos, has suffered a release date set-back.

Inspired by the same-named villain from Marvel Comics, Agatha: Coven of Chaos is the newest series set to premiere on Disney+. The show is a continuation of WandaVision, starring actress Elizabeth Olsen in the title role.

In ACOC, a witch named Agatha Harkness, who formerly pretended to be Wanda Maximoff’s intrusive neighbor Agnes, will be the subject of the television program. Fans of the series will recall that on WandaVision, Agatha grew fixated on using Wanda, commonly known as the Scarlet Witch, to control her chaos magic.

While audiences can expect actress and comedian Kathryn Hahn to return to the series as Agatha and Emma Caulfield Ford to return as Dottie, only a few things about the series are certain. What’s been revealed by Disney+ of the plot consists of tiny details such as Agatha’s role as a governess and tutor. Its premiere date is also still being determined. Several media outlets proclaimed that the series, which started filming in 2021, would then presume filming in January 2023. In addition to that, Disney+ Japan recently released the MCU roster for this year, which doesn’t include Agatha: Coven of Chaos, so a 2023 or even 2024 release date doesn’t appear promising.

In addition to Agatha: Coven of Chaos being absent from the MCU Disney+ series roster last year is the Hawkeye spin-off series Echo. Unfortunately, the series is suffering a similar problem to the WandaVision spin-off series, as a release date has been delayed. Echo, starring actress Alaqua Cox who plays the protagonist Maya Lopez, had a studio release date planned for Summer 2023. However, according to a recent interview with the show’s writer Marion Dayre during an interview on the Writers Panel podcast, things appear to have changed.

Dayre stated that the show is now expected to be released sometime at the end of this year. The show, which has already been filmed, tells the story of Maya Lopez, whose dark past revisits her and wreaks havoc and chaos in her once previously blissful life. To heal from her previous experiences, she must fix her problems and embrace her Native American heritage and become one with the community. Additionally, you can catch up with all things Marvel, with feature films and series from the MCU available on Disney+.
