Rob Lowe’s Son Says, ‘Not a Lot of Acting’ When Talking About His Dad in Unstable

As previously mentioned, the show is inspired by the duo’s real father-son relationship, specifically John Owen’s public habit of trolling his dad on social media, all in good fun, of course.
The father-son recently talked about what viewers can expect from the show. John Owen joked about his father, Rob saying,
Rob had his own jokes as well, saying of his character,
Rob went on to summarize the show saying, “it’s about a father-son dynamic.” The two shared more laughing jabs at each other as Rob said, “Working with Johnny is painful.” John Owen whipped right back at his dad, “There’s not a whole lot of acting … your hair’s a little different,” the young actor teased.
Both Rob and John Owen went on to make it clear that the playful dynamic is all in good fun, with Rob adding, “That’s the acting,” and John Owen including, “And we say ‘I love you’ a lot on the show.”
From the looks of the teaser, combined with Rob and his son’s already comical dynamic, the two are poised to be a perfect match for ensuring a laughter-filled show. Unstable will premiere on Netflix on Mar. 30, and the rest of the cast includes Sian Clifford, Aaron Branch, Rachel Marsh, and Emma Ferreira.
