It’s been a month since Doctor Strange broke the multiverse and sent audiences on a wild ride through all the possible universes parallel to our own reality, and it’s opened up a whole new can of worms in the MCU. Granted, most fans were wondering how Marvel was possibly going to top Endgame, so their choice of proving that there are much bigger threats in the multiverse than Thanos has generally been met with positive reviews from audiences and critics.

All that being said, the multiverse has proven to be a real problem for the MCU’s heroes since they’ve encountered some all-time great villains. The list includes Marvel’s former versions of Green Goblin and Doc Oc, the introduction of Kang the Conqueror, an evil Scarlet Witch, and an animated version of Ultron, who acquired all of the Infinity Stones – suffice to say, things have blown up real quick.

But one such character who could definitely help in any future multiversal issues is America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), the teen hero introduced in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness who has the ability to travel to different universes. The young heroine managed to get a better grasp on controlling her powers by the end of the film and even served as a worthy adversary to Scarlet Witch, which truly means something. The hero returning to the MCU is a matter of when – not if. Here are all of the places she might show up in the future.

A Perfect Fit for the Young Avengers

Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way. It’s been theorized and speculated for quite some time that the MCU has been ramping up to creating a plethora of different super teams based on the comics, exactly like how they started the MCU with The Avengers. One such team that it’s clear Marvel is attempting to create is the Young Avengers. This superhero group is just a bit younger than the average crime fighter.

America makes a perfect fit as she is a teenager and easily meets the criteria for both age and ability. It’s most likely that she’ll be joined by characters like Kate Bishop, Billy and Tommy Maximoff, Kamala Khan, Riri Williams, and potentially even Spider-Man (though the web-slinger is less likely than the others).

What If…? Is Possible, but is It a Cop-Out?

This is honestly a bit of a cop-out, but it’s definitely possible, so we can’t dismiss it. America Chavez is a unique character in the MCU not only because of her powers but because she is the only version of herself throughout the entire multiverse. That makes her an incredibly high-risk target. As already confirmed in Doctor Strange 2, there was at least one super-being in Wanda who hated her original reality and wanted to travel to a different one. With infinite universes now existing in the MCU, it stands to reason that there will be more super-beings who will want to use America just like Wanda did.

If the MCU doesn’t want to risk repeating the same plot from Multiverse of Madness on another live-action movie, then an animated episode featuring a surplus of villains trying to capture America could be a way to go instead.

Did Amanda Chavez Release Werewolf by Night & Blade?

Now we’re getting into the crazy guesses, but don’t dismiss this outright. Let’s think about this logically. The MCU has existed for fifteen years, but we’re still getting brand-new heroes (and villains) that have somehow flown under the super-radar for the past decade and a half. Upcoming projects like Werewolf by Night and Blade are no different as they’re set to introduce werewolves and vampires into the MCU. So, with such an extensive and established history, how would werewolves and vampires have gone unnoticed thus far?

Perhaps the answer is that they haven’t existed in universe 616, the universe of the MCU’s current timeline… but maybe a multiverse-jumping hero could accidentally bring them through. Again, we know it’s a long shot. Still, perhaps the reason that werewolves and vampires haven’t been around is that they exist in other universes, and America accidentally unleashes them in the process of trying to master her powers. It’s possible – that’s all we’re saying.

Can Amanda Chavez Help Shang-Chi?

Another wild card with the same reasoning as the projects listed above – you have to start thinking multiuniversally. At the end of the first film, Wong opened a portal and escorted Shang-Chi and Katy through, whereupon they discussed the Ten Rings with Captain Marvel and Bruce Banner, none of whom had any idea what the Ten Rings were or how they were powered.

Keeping that in mind, it wouldn’t be implausible to suggest that the Ten Rings came from a universe other than 616. After all, if they weren’t considered alien-tech, weren’t made of Vibranium, and didn’t match any records from the Sorcerer Supreme’s archives, one of the few plausible explanations is that they aren’t originally from the 616 universe. If that’s the case, Shang-Chi could potentially use America’s help getting to the universe where the Ten Rings originally came from. We know it’s another long shot, but the MCU is all about long shots.
